Design a poster to teach others about road safety.
Sensory play Ideas:
Use a road play mat in a tray or on the floor (or make your own roads using masking tape) with a selection of toy cars and people. In groups discuss safe areas for the people to cross the road safely

Starter
Share images and slideshow on buildings. Discuss the architect and various examples of his architecture.

Using a selection of different coloured paper draw different sized buildings and cut out to create a colourful building collage. Add further detail using further colours, such as windows, doors etc Use the vocab idea sheet for further support.

View the Objects and Materials powerpoint. Recap the properties of wood, metal, plastic, glass, paper, fabric. Encourage pupils to bend, stretch, pull, squash, etc. examples of these materials.
Can they describe some properties of these materials?
Activity
Go on a hunt round your house and find things that are made of glass, fabric, plastic, wood and metal.
Explore – Explore the different objects. Look/touch/hold the different objects. Discuss the materials and with support group items together that are made from the same material.

Starter
English – read the story of the Three Little Pigs again. Discuss the story.
Activity
Make the characters using the cut outs from the worksheets.
Explore – with support create the cone characters. :
Sensory Play:
Using a plastic tray or a spare baking tray and toy pigs, create a muddy sensory play tray. Fill with soil and water and use toys that can be easily cleaned. Alternatively if you do not have any toy pigs just use spoons/plastic containers.

If possible visit a local park
Look at the pictures of playground models made by other children (see the worksheet). Can you identify some of the materials used for making different swings, slides, etc.?
Activity
Design their own playground using found materials. Encourage children to think of different materials they will need to make different playground equipment. What are the things they would like to have in their dream playground? Can they design their own equipment?

Starter :
Read the story of the Three Little Pigs again. Discuss the story.
Activity
Explore – cut out the different pigs and their clothing. Dress the three little pigs.
Sensory Play:
Collect materials to explore such as straw/twigs/lolly pop sticks/lego or duplo bricks. Place these all into a tray with toy pigs or our previously made cone characters.
Medium – cut out the pictures and sequence them to retell the story of the Three Little Pigs.
Hard – cut out the cards and sequence them in the correct order. Verbally retell the story of the Three Little Pigs.
